Joseph had had his account repeatedly disabled for what appeared to be spamming other users on Excite@Home's network. I was asked to call and inform him that he had again been shut down for this abuse and this would be his final warning. When I started to talk with Joseph I realized that it was unlikely that Mr. Horton was purposefully spamming other customers. I talked him through looking at the settings of the unsupported software he was using and found where the issue was. When we found this together it was almost silly how easy the fix was. Joseph was happy that someone had finally taken the time to help him resolve the network abuse he had been causing inadvertently. This letter was sent to my supervisor.

Hello Mr. Sooy: Presuming you are quite busy, I will keep this brief and to the point.

If you wish to call and hear more about my gratitude and why, please feel free to call me at 609-953-7573

In years of business, volunteer organizations, school boards, etc. or any other venues where HELP was needed, I have never gotten the assistance that I have in the past many hours from Mr. Darcy Faegre.

Given a tough circumstance whereby with little or no explanation and with much haste, a member of the İhome "abuse team" terminated my year old account, Mr. Faegre took the time to hear the "facts." This is precisely what "the abuse team member" never offered to do.

By taking a few extra minutes we discovered that the party who was suggesting a problem to @home was probably my own web hosting company! The reason was that they were viewing unauthorized mail through their servers from @home. Darcy helped me learn that settings within my own Outlook were directing the mail to them via @home. (at least this is how I understand it currently)

Bottomline -- if someone like Darcy had been allowed to assist me during or After the first "warning" I would not only have understood it, but would have corrected it! We would have been able to avoid all the distress and time it has taken both for myself and Mr. Faegre to correct the "rash termination" without clear explanation.

My praise and gratitude to Darcy Faegre for his patience, diligence, sense of purpose and understanding of corporate-client business.

AGAIN : If you wish to call and hear more about my gratitude and why, please feel free to call me ANYTIME at 609-953-7573
